Hey mom! Do you struggle with discipline and find it easier to give in?
What if instead of "acting out", your child's behavior is communicating something?
Every child (and parent!) has what is called a Sensory Profile. Understanding a Sensory Profile is key to regulating our nervous system and what need to do or not do to stay calm and composed. The more you can understand what they are trying to communicate, the more you can limit meltdowns, misbehaving and disobedience.

Let me be your interpreter!
I’m educated, licensed, and professionally trained to understand your child's sensory system.
Does this sound familiar? You're out for dinner with friends, and your child becomes whiney, fidgety, crying, interrupting conversations between adults... you're annoyed, and you wish your child would just behave.
What if... your child is not misbehaving, being rude, disrespectful, or trying to upset you!
Your child is using the only tools he has at age 5 to tell you his nervous system is starting to get overloaded by information coming to him through his senses. He can't use words to articulate this to you, so his behavior does the talking... He's telling you, "I need to leave this place because I am starting to feel lots of things in my small, 5 year old body that are stressful / alarming to me. Please help me! It's past my bedtime, I['m tired. All the loud noises in the restaurant are bothering me. The bright lights shining on our table bother my eyes. It's getting to be too much for me. Please help me now before I reach overload." This is where meltdowns occur!
When you know know your child's sensory profile and your own, you're better equipped to have a fun dinner out with friends and at the same time, keep your child calm and happy with a nervous system that is ok. No misbehaving or meltdowns : )
